Im working on my Gen III model 34.

When i put the connector into the housing, the 'top' of the connector does not fit all the way against the housing. with a little pressure, it will. once the trigger bar is assembled and installed, the connector seems to be in the right place.

My question is, Is this correct?? is the connecter 'pressed' into the housing by the trigger bar??

    Thanks for the help.

It is supposed to stick out at the top. If you bend it to fit flush you will have problems.

Yes, make sure it's pressed in fully at the bend in the bottom. The connector is actually a small leaf spring that pushes on the trigger bar.
