Seems I was educationally challenged when I went to school,I learned it all wrong according to Sheila Jackson Lee.

As shown on CSPAN below and reported in the The Washington Free Beacon, one of our congressional representatives thinks the Constitution is a lot older than it really is:
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) declared the U.S. Constitution to be 400 years old Wednesday on the House floor, which would mean it was signed in 1614.

Her district near Huston must be so very proud of her.

Oh, goodness -- do I have to bring up the reference to Mars and Neil Armstrong yet again? :whistling:

The marvel of it is -- if Sheila Jackson Lee is representative of her district, what does her constituency look and sound like??? :dunno:

    I saw that too.

Given that it's Ms. Lee, I'm not the least bit surprised.

She was probably so used to carping about "400 years of slavery" that she got a bit confused.

She was just talking about an early draft version which was stolen and taken to England to form the basis of the 1688-9 Declaration and Bill of Rights. It is believed to have been the work of Pocahontas who died in 1617 and was an amalgam of the heritage of Anglo Saxon and Amerindian principles of legal freedom. Not many people know that.

And that folks, is the problem in a nutshell. Congress gets a 10% approval rating yet 88% of the incumbents are re-elected.

Sharks have the memories of elephants according to this towering intellectual from the Democrat party:

I will give these Democrats credit. They have confirmed the worthlessness of affirmative action in higher education and that universities were loath to flunk them.
