Just a quick question for a Glock Armorer or anyone with the experience: Are the extractors the same for both the early 9mm and .40S&W Glocks (17/19, 22/23) with a ninety-degree shape or have they always been different? If they are different, how can one tell which one goes with which model (9mm or .40S&W) just from looking? Any markings visable?

Thanks in advance for any and all replies. :)

The extractors are not the same for the 17 and 22. There is a difference in the old and newer 90 degree extractors for the 17. The newer extractor has a debris channel. Another difference is that some
extractors have a parallel hook and a 5 degree hook .
