Horribly invasive. I suspect the lawsuit will be successful. Very poor policework.

But civilians, you should never give up your rights. They had no reason to conduct an invasive search. A Terry frisk, yes, but not body cavities. When asked if you can be searched, say no. The LEO would not be asking for permission unless they need it.

Unfortunately, (or fortunately, depending on perspective), it is very easy to talk people into giving up their rights. "I'll go easy on you if you let me search, but if you don't it could be a lot of trouble..." etc. "We'll have to bring you downtown, " blah blah blah. People usually give in too easily. You should refuse to be searched. That goes for cars, backpacks, person, etc.

I agree. It appeared to me that the police were looking for marijuana, not the most serious offense. And the ladies being searched were being cooperative, and therefore due more respect, IMHO.

Someone noted the officer apparently didn't change her gloves between searches. Furthermore, she searched the rear first, then the front. This could introduce coliform bacteria near these female urethras, which are shorter and straighter than in the male, rendering a greater risk of developing cystitis, a serious infection.

Those police, IMHO, need to change their ways.

I just would NOT CONSENT TO THE SEARCH. And sue the daylights out of them if they forced it on me.
