Gianluca-Masi-comet-NEOWISE-Rome-Italy-7-7-2020-e1594141387754.jpg Anyone seen it?, it should be visible right after sunset in the NW, under the big dipper.....

......my balcony I dont think will let me see it....... it anyway, I think it's been surprising some people......

I did catch a glorious view of Jupiter and its moons at 3AM today, though.........

Decent comets are few and far between.........it is possible, but I think unlikely I will see another Halle Bopp in my life time......I soaked that one in though.......good times.....

In other news, I made it through another week of work.......just gotta keep stacking up the weeks....I get a little better every shift.......and I'm only 13 or so days away from the dreaded Mon-Thurs daytime block.........that's near-term security.....

Skies here have been overcast all weekend so I will need to continue to wait. I wonder when comet Hamner-Brown will be visible.

Actually named for the NEOWISE ( Near Earth Objects Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer ) telescope that found it.

It will be the closest to earth on July 22nd and it suppose to stick around here for a couple more weeks. Hopefully I will get to see it. I saw Haley's comet back in 1986 and took to few pics of it. It really was a spectacular sight.

We saw it tonight, tail and all. I got some fairly crappy pics because I brought the wrong camera but might go back tomorrow if the sky is clear.

Haven't seen it yet. Too cloudy around here. But no rain, just clouds, durn it. We do need the rain.

Maybe tomorrow night will be clear. I've got good visibility to the North and West living out here in the country and on top of a ridge.

My wife and I viewed it tonight. If the weather cooperates, I’ll try to view it as many nights as I can.

    Just don't forget Heaven's Gate , yall.

There is probably not a spaceship hiding behind Comet Neowise like the one behind Hale-Bopp.
