COMELEC Gun Ban...

Anyone knows when this will start and end next year?
How hard is it to get an exemption from the ban?

January 13 ang simula ng pagdurusa natin. There are no legal ways to obtain a civilian exemption as of yet. I also don't know the exact guidelines.

Sa mga makakati ang daliri, mag airgun nalang muna tayo!

Sharpen your knives people. Open season nanaman for the lawless members of society.

i'll be arriving on the 31 of Dec. 06 dyaan, tapus gun ban na pala sa Jan. 13, 07?

mahigit isang buwan na nga lang yung bakasyon mo di kapa makaputok sa lagay nyaan.:shakehead:

oo nga e, kaso it's really very hard to reserve a booking lalo na from Oct. until the feb. of the following year. gusto ko kasing makahabol kahit man lang sa bagong taon.

like this flight sched, i had it booked since 19th of feb pa.
that's the only available flight, & the nearest is on the 23 of june na next year.
imagine from jan. - may 07 fully booked na ang mga flights?
Guess what, even airguns and airsofts are kinda not also allowed. That is my understanding. Talked to some airsofters and they too are going low profile during comelec gun ban
Geez! I guess I can't really escape the airgun thing! Pati sa Comelec Gun Ban thread nag cocomercial ang airgun!

I guess this actually gives me one more reason to get one...hahaha!!!

I think the more important question to ask is WHEN does the gun ban end? Chaka how the hell do we practice during the gun ban?
It usually ends about June. The problem with Comelec nowadays is that even legit people couldnt get the exemption unlike when Yorac was still there.

Question - you mean that security guards are given exemptions for them to bring their guns whereas we cant??? I kinda find it funny...I wonder what about the politicians or their bodyguards or their kids for that matter?
air guns are also included in the ban. I bought a compressed air rifle before the gun ban in the last elections thinking it will be excempted.

When the guidelines came out. Airguns are included in the ban.
wawa naman tau mga legit shooters

kasi ba for range shooting lang bawal sir jason ?

Yes, security guards are allowed to carry firearms in the performance of their duties, but strictly limited to the place specified on their duty order.

Sirs, Does this mean that by June or July next year pa pwede mag-apply for new PTCs?
It's better for you to apply after the gun ban para sulit.. YOu could apply right now and get a PTC but gun ban nga by January so sayang ang six months mo....
Hey Jason, sorry medyo newb lang ako sa IPSC eh.....does the gun ban mean no IPSC matches for 6 months until the gun ban is over? as in totally WALA????
I see..After elections nalang..
Favorable pala sa atin gun owners pag tinuloy ang No-El hehe

Paintball na lang muna :2gun:
Plinking nalang sa bahay! Swerte ng mga may firing range sa haybols.

Or we could always ..(gasp!).. rent units sa commercial firing ranges!
