I have 85 Excel .xls files, each with 7 identically named sheets (or tabs).

How can I combine these 85 files into one .xls with the same 7 tabs (and the information from the individual files 'stacked' together). The tabs are named the same thing in each .xls, however the data is not identical - some tabs have extra columns.

I'm looking for quick & dirty. I can go in and clean up headers later. I'm not averse to buying software if there is something out there that you have used and know can do this.

I'm sure someone here could easily write up a crude little vb/c/whatever program to do that.. shouldn't take long at all, but I have no experience with file handling & excel
