How much is a good price for a Colt Series 80 Combat Elite with about 85% bluing (a little rough)? Local store wanted $699. Also is this a good customization platform or does it have the same drawbacks as a Gold Cup National Match?

New CEs are selling for $850+ and they have a few more modern features (BT grip safety, Novak-syle sights), just for a comparison.

Less features, but I actually prefer the older one's. To me they are somehow "more Colt".

To each their own. I never got along with that skinny little grip safety, so for me the new ones are Sweeeeet!

Looks good sir. I'm just a bit more traditional with my Colts.
