Hey guys. Anybody know where I can get a plastic mainspring housing either for the Para or the old colts (full size frame)?

    Thanks.

Kuya PJ, I think I can, the problem is the desire. ;f

Anyway, I didn't know Colts come with plastioc MS housings. Is that for older models or are they trying to "platicize" the newer guns part by part? ;f

Nothing special really. I was just looking for one available kasi I'm trying to trim the extra weight from my gun. I wanted to retain the long dust look kaya I'm looking for other parts than can be replaced with something lighter. :)

Yep, thanks for the part dude. Pero katakot-takot na kikil ginawa ko. It seems makapal yung housing at mahaba. Ang laki ng weight difference without the orig ms housing+magwell at FLGR. Next stop, thin barrel. ;f

    hi mc_oliver,
shooters have a plastic MSH but i dont know if it works. you can try the MSH of their falcon model(for high cap) or the MSH of their Elite model for the single stack. just my 2 cents bro.:)

Hmmm...didn't know SAM uses plastic MS, could've saved my fingers from all the sanding (not that I didn't enjoy doing it. ;f) Thanks for the head up dre. :)

actually, they have it in plastic & metal also. and they have also a MSH with built-in mag-well(as in built-in)for their single stack units. ;f

SAM plastic MSH with magwell Php 400
SAM metal MSH with magwell PHP 800

ok ba ang durability nito or is the MSH a negligible part in terms of strenght and metalurgy concern?

also pansin ko yung plastic nila malinis pagkagawa while yung metal medyo maraming mga sobra-sobra, kailangan pa siguro ng TLC sa pag liha.

The S_I guns seem to fare really well with their plastic housings. Probably the only thing that will destroy it is if you're doing constant mag change practice.

Having a full profile and thick steel magwell welded to my MS housing added some significant weight to my already heavy gun. With the plastic housing in, the gun is now lighter. I'll see if there are any adverse recoil effects during shooting.
