Wow, it's the same old same old with a different rail and a mall ninja roll mark!

I think the roll mark is the same as the current LE line, actually...

Will be buying one, and re-barreling it with a proper 14.5 inch tube.

So Colt throws a KAC rail on their gun (which you can get for $149 factory KAC rail seconds from their website currently) and it's the SOCOM?

But serious question here. I had that exact same setup in the Army (only with an M68 Aimpoint) and I was just regular old line Infantry. Does this make me SOCOM now?

Lets face it, the roll mark is gonna sell the rifle.

The roll mark also makes it legal to sell in CA with a fixed 10 round mag.

Precisely why I'm going to pick one up. I've carried a M-4 on multiple combat deployments. Now I can toss my M-68 ontop and have MY M-4.

Maybe someone can educate me on this. Other than different furniture what is the difference between this and the LE6920?

I'm not impressed. I'll just keep my plain 'ol 6920.

    Javelin,
Is that KAC rail a clean swap out with original?
Snap off old and snap in KAC? For LE6920?

I'll keep my 14.5 LMT setup with Eotech, KAC rail, & MaTech rear sight. Looks & functions exactly the same.

Yeah, it is a drop in. You can buy a "blemished" rail direct from KAC for $150. If its a true m4a1 barrel, though, you may have to modify the rail slightly to make it fit.

Sent from the USS Sulaco, while nuking the site from orbit.

As someone already said I'm pretty sure Colt is using the same 'M4 Carbine' rollmark on all their ARs now.

From what I'm seeing the rear sight on this model is would be about the same cost as a Colt USGI carry handle, and the Knight's rail at full retail is about $350, which IMO is overpriced for a 2 piece rail anyhow.
So if you add it up you're actually paying more than you would buying a regular 6920 and getting the rail separately..

The barrel profile. The M4A1 is the heavier barrel.

Is the rear sight on it the correct, true M4 sight, just like what was on YOUR M4? Rails too?
