That would be something I would definitely carry! Not many manufacturers make one. STI comes to mind and I’m sure there are others. Just haven’t had enough coffee yet to get the brain cells started.

Not something you see every day.
I bought her 24 yrs ago because I had a Colt 10mm barrel. Good reason...right? The problem is she shoots too well. Thousands and thousands of rounds later and she has never had any failure what so ever. Maybe one day I'll fit the 10mm barrel. Maybe not.

I used to carry her all the time. But as 9mm ammo has gotten more effective my "major caliber" guns don't get as much belt time.

I never knew Colt made 1911s in 40 S&W, that is cool.

Very few Colt Enhanced models in .40 S&W were made in the early 1990s. They had flat top slides, a finger relief cut behind the trigger guard and they came with a duckbill grip safety, which was actually very comfortable.
