Just wanted to post this for any recent Colt owners. I didn't see it being discussed here, so I thought I would post it.

Just found this on a gun store's Facebook page in Idaho (I don't live in Idaho, I'm just researching job opportunities in the Idaho Falls area). Their caption reads:

Hello everyone! We have received a recall notice from Colt Mfg. that affects various AR/M4 models and wanted to present the information so everyone who may be affected has the chance to get their firearms fixed. We will be contacting customers we know may be effected by this. If you’re curious if your model is effected, you can fill out the form located at ColtRepairMSR.com, or you can always bring it in to us and we’ll work to get everything squared away for you, even if you didn’t purchase your rifle from us.

If you have any questions or need any help figuring out if you are effected or not, please let us know!
That was posted on November 23rd. Here is the accompanying letter from Colt:

It's Colt so it's been discussed. Same old B.S. Colts are the worst ever. No more TDP. Don't sell to the military. Hates you and the Second Amendment. Pin sizes are different. Never happen to any other rifle. Mid-length is better.

All for an optional recall in a time of year when Geissele has blow out sales on the best triggers on the planet.

Things happen, manufacturing machines go out of spec, parts come out slightly off, no manufacturer is immune to this; I don't think Colt even manufactures alot of the smaller bits, it is probably contracted out. I'm not a huge Colt fan, but this kind of stuff happens, and at least they are dealing with it responsibly....

Sounds like management overrode the Union on gettin it right from the get go. A culture of proactiveness would come out of the general budget and cut into management’s bonuses. A recall is not only an insurance claim but a supplemental to the budget, therefore doing it contrary to Colt’s and the union’s heritage will be a thang that doesn’t tap into management’s bonuses.

The Colt of yesterday building rifles to the TDP standard shut down several years ago.

The first sign of going low end, commercial grade was the run of rifles built on absolute garbage anderson arms receivers.

One can only guess what if any standards are currently used in their production facilities.

Current Colt offerings are now equal to low end commercial crap such as psa, delton, anderson, aero, etc.
