Looking at the Weaver V-3 1by 3 by 20 seems to have good reviews on various forums... also the leupold ar series(double the price) What MOUNT?? can it be taken On and off and hold zero?? Would one of these scopes be good for close out to say 300 yards???

any comments/suggestions.??
