I think I paid $600 for my OEM2 back in 2017
Well, dude. It seemed to me there were some pre-2020 price quotes before my post. What were 6920's going for in 2015? Post #35 suggests $800-925.
Anyway, I had a rough day. Go piss up a tree.
Can’t speak to the Colt issue since I’ve never shot one but I have 2 BCM 16” middies and they are superb. One is set up as an all around carbine with a red dot and light and one is strictly a night gun (with an IR scope and illuminator).
A BCM reeks of quality and you know it will work. Can’t say that for other ARs I’ve owned. Make sure to get one of their charging handles, bolt and carriers as well. No point in putting anything else in there.

That was a smokin deal if one was looking for a decent rifle with carbine gas
Oh I recall sending my friend a advertisement to a colt 6720 for $600 several years ago, he bought two of them. Back then the 6720 was about $100 cheaper than the 6920 at the time.
Why the 6920 hate? I have an LE6920 Magpul. Works great.
Okay, Karen, ... Take a chill-pill. You'll feel better.
Ah, Karen...right. Intelligence demonstrated.
I think they are already offering “again”.
I try to check the market before I buy and I certainly don't recall any Colt LE 6920's going for $600.00 around 2012. I'm wondering who offered these at half the price I paid. Is this one of those "Well, my 2nd Cousin's step son heard about it from his girlfriends brother kind of thing.
Yeah, I learned that by reading this thread. Just haven’t noticed any for sale yet.
I bought 2 in 2017/18 for 600 and 650. 2nd hand but don’t look like the 1st hand didn’t use them.
Would love to find a mint 6720
Edge lords. I have a Colt that I haven’t gotten around to shooting. Couple of BCM and even an Olympic Arms. My go to is a mutt Mforgery Bushmaster that I know works. Been pulling duty in the hallway since the fun began back in March.
I just walked back from the range where I put 80 rounds through my LE6920 with an E-OTEC sight. I was testing some new OK magazines. I want nothing different. The Colt AR's, like them or not, are solid performers.
When Walmart stopped selling ARs they sold off some Colt 6920s at a low price but that was really an anomaly and not a regular price. The only time I have seem 6920s close to that price were the OEM models that didn't have furniture or sights.
Me too. I always thought they were better balanced than the 6920
