Libs think if they keep using the term "racist" for everything they don't like, it will rally the base but they have worn that word out so much and can barely get any mileage out of it anymore.

It's been used so much that most people don't give the word a second thought.

Its not racist in and of it self, but many of the cases of the federal government attempting to roll back 'states rights' involved race:

A bunch of racist morons tried to use the Constitution to protect them from the Federal Government and it worked for a while. So now anyone that thinks that the Federal Government should only do what it is authorized by the Constitution to do must be a racist.

In my opinion the term "state's rights" should not be used. States don't have rights only individuals have rights. States have certain powers and obligations but not rights.

The Texas budget is fine. That's more than I can say about the federal government's budget.

Hearkens back to the days of the "War of Northern Aggression". The right to own slaves was considered something for the state to decide. There for State's Rights (the real reason for the Civil War) has been equated with Slavery and therefore makes State Rights racist.

That's common. Everything that conflicts with hippy liberal theology is "racist." They seem to use it as a generic synonym for "bad." They call gun ownership "racist" the party that freed the slaves is "racist" hunting is "racist" - there is no rational explanation.

Rick Perry has done a decent job, and I want KB to stay in Washington, where she's also done a fine job.

No, states have rights, same as their people do. The Federal government exists to serve the states, not to dictate to them and/or take from them.

Sorry to derail the thread. But what is Texas doing that California is not? Don't they have the same immigration problems? I'm really curious. I'm not asking these to be a smart rear or anything. They're both huge. And one works while the other doesn't. What's the difference?

I immediately discount anything written or uttered by Rick Sanchez; he was an unmitigated ******bag when I met him back in the 80s when he was a local anchor in Miami, and he's even worse now.

It's the Libtard frame of mind. If they don't like it they try to put a anti name on it.

The big one is Texas is business friendly and not driving businesses and people out of the state with high taxes and fines.
