For a non career politician, President Trump plays pretty good political chess.

We really should send them back lol.
It’s the other side of the story. Neither position can be proven - it is political speculation. Both theories have merit.
This must have you tied up in knots this morning !
People are learning about the second half of the challenge, but the branding of the Democrat party as lead by “The Squad”.
Key words lol! But of course the left continues to have reading comprehension issues as usual.
Liz The Redskin Warren wants all the palefaces to go back.
My opinion was initially along these lines, but articles such as this one have caused me to reassess my thinking:
more and more dems are leaving the party due to these extreme leftist views of the squad , making them the face of the party was a great idea
Poor kids are getting blindsided, maybe they'll get a little woke when the shock wears off
Between "Then come back" and his disavowing of "Send her back"... all you have are NPCs and never Trumpers looking to stir the pot.
But I guess we're going to stop pretending that Trump ever said "Go back to where you came from" so that's nice.
Politically naive trolls think President Trump made a mistake with his brilliant tweet.
The "then come back" is an important distinction, we agree on that, and the media left it out on purpose. Scott Adams did a good podcast about that piece alone, but it does not negate the fact that the previous part of his tweet ("from which they came") was inaccurate if we assume it was aimed at anyone but Omar, and it obviously was. For AOC to go back from where she came, she'd be "returning" to the U.S.
There are arguments to support the brilliant political strategy and arguments to support the other theory, that it could hurt him. Both of those arguments have interesting points. My point throughout this entire ordeal has been very simple: it might work to his benefit, but if it does, a slightly different tweet would have worked even better. I'm talking so slight that all he had to do was tell them to simply leave the country rather than "go back." Both tweets accomplish the same thing, but one is clearly better than the other.
No, you are not smarter than the greatest political genius ever.
Considering the number of individuals who continually mischaracterized all of it as "Go back to where you came from" and continued to pretend that this was a direct quote....it doesn't matter what Trump tweets. They will twist it just like they did "animals", "fine people" and "sh1t holes".
And still the only people who care are leftist, communist, marxist, Target shoppers...
And of course "swamp donkeys"
I would agree in the sense that there is a good chance that the actual words of the tweet will get lost in translation, either on purpose via the media or simply because people will generalize the tweet to simply mean "if you don't like it, leave." However, I'd disagree in the sense that saying "the media will lie anyway" is a poor excuse for saying something inaccurate. There must be some sort of limitation on that logic, otherwise we're in a world where republicans essentially become the democratic party - saying things that are equally as stupid as claiming there are 1.5 mass shootings per day.
Another example - the media lied and claimed that Trump "called Mexicans rapists." We know he did no such thing (he said that some illegal immigrants commit rape, which is a simple fact). Based on the logic in your post, Trump might as well have called all Mexican rapists, because that's what the press will say anyway. Surely you don't believe that this would have been a good strategy - so I'm not willing to abandon truth just because the media will turn it into a lie. Neither should the president.
