    I just saw this. Did I miss the discussion of this? I did a search for "clock boy" on the forum and did not see a result.

    Dismissed with prejudice, both the father's and the son's lawsuits. I like the part where the judge asked their lawyer to cite and specific thing that was said by any of the defendants that was defamatory. There was an awkward 15 minutes where the lawyer search through stacks of papers without coming up with anything.

    I think this means the lawsuit cannot be refiled? Can any lawyers chime in on that point?

    Glad to see justice served. The whole fiasco was a transparent attempt at extortion from the very beginning, and the President didn't help things by lending credibility to the kid's parents and their manufactured "outrage" by inviting them to the White House and treating them like victimized innocents rather than calculating con artists.

    Hell, the "Clock Boy's" sister had even tried to pull a similar stunt just a year or so earlier!

    IIRC, the kid built a clock and brought it into school for a project (something like that). Teacher thought it might be a timer for a bomb** and called the constabulary.

    **Honestly folks, if you're going to build a bomb with a timer, are you really going to put a clock on it that counts down to detonation, like in NCIS or 24? Who's that for? YOU know when it's going to go off! Do you really care if THEY do? If you have to do that, set the timer a few minutes slow. So, there they are, trying to disarm it, thinking they have all the time in the world, then KER-FLUM!

    The whole thing is pathetic. What a sad little family, desperate for any attention. The really sad thing is that no matter where that boy goes, he's going to have a huge target on his back. I mean, hell, I look at him and want to punch him, and I'm a psychologist.

    Actually, there was no assignment. The kid took the plastic cover off of a digital clock and put the guts of it into a small, suitcase-shaped box. The end result was something that looks like a classic "bomb" as typically portrayed in any number of Hollywood films...and let's face it, Hollywood is the only experience 99.9% of the public has ever had when it comes to spotting bombs. The kid took his little creation to school and started showing it around to students and teachers until he inevitably wound up showing it to one who was concerned enough to call it in.

    A year or so earlier, "clock boy's" sister was implicated in a similar scheme involving a bomb threat at her middle school. The parents are professional con-men who use their kids to intentionally provoke situations where the parents can turn around and scream about being "oppressed" while filing lawsuits.

    Obama spent the past eight years on the wrong side of just about every major issue.

    I never thought that at my age I could think a kid his age looks so much like an *******.

    Dude.....no.....just no.

    This entire family (father, uncle, son and sister) have a long history of such acts; doing something borderline and then suing people when they react the way normal people do. A long, long history.

    This is what clock boy built and took to school. It was a deliberate attempt to make something that looked like a bomb, to get the school and police to react like a school and police will when someone brings something like this into the classroom;

    And for anyone who thinks this was a case of a kid getting harassed just because he is a Muslim, try carrying the item shown above through a TSA checkpoint in any airport and watch what happens to you regardless of your race, ethnicity or skin color. For that matter, take a field trip to Washington D.C. and try carrying that item with you on a White House tour. When the dust settles, be sure to share your story!
