Hey if this happened when I was in high school my buddies and I would have joined the walkout. O f course we would have walked out and found someone to by us beer and we'd have drove around in my buddies Mustang and drank beer.
I'm (not) sure that after the Climate Justice Warrior (oh, God these titles!), march today, the sides of all roads will be littered with abandoned fossil-fuel vehicles. I'm doing my part. I own a sedan, a truck, and a motorcycle. And I best go for a long drive today, to make up for the striker's that won't.
I'm gonna clear cut the rainforest behind my house and BBQ a bunch of polar bears on a pile of burning tires. So no, not taking the day off.
If successful, more than a million students will be unable to recharge their smartphones/laptops/tablets/TV's/gaming consoles/lights/electric cars. No more Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/What'sApp. They'll be sweating in their homes in the summer, freezing in the winter. Food will be scarce, as there will be little transportation to haul their vegan produce to grocery stores. No more flying. But then again, they thought wind and solar could replace fossil fuels. Oh, and if they think they can keep the few items they own, forgeddiboutit, the gangs will come to take what you have. Oh, and since you were anti-gun, you won't be able to stop them.
How do you tell if a teenager is on strike? Will they stop not cleaning their room and stop not doing their homework?
Seriously, do you think all these kids would show up to protests etc. if this protest happened on the weekend? Just an excuse to cut school.
Climate already changed, it fall and I’m getting cold. Wife says no heat till October, I’d walk but nowhere to go. Sent from my iPhone using Glock Talk
Went out this morning and burned 2700 lbs of Jet A on a Engine test and only moved maybe half a Mile to test pad and back. Going to do it again after lunch to test the other engine.
I took the day off and walked around DC. Was a large group at the capital steps but I went the other way.
No, but teen pregnancy should drop tremendously: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...-kids-until-climate-change-action/2372010001/ Is it bad that I laughed at the idea that liberals have decided through celibacy to bring an end to their own population?
If only they had the "stick-to-itiveness" to see it through. But alas, their attention span usually equates to their IQ represented in seconds.
Yeah, let's "protest" the planet's natural climate cycles and changes. That's brilliant. Mucking forons.
3-day weekend, not getting into trouble for cutting classes, new I-Phones available for sale. Yeah...it's all about the climate.
I'm loving the weather these last 5 years. And I did burn some tires today. Climate change, I'm up for it.
