'Clergy' is described as one ordained to do the work of God in a Christian church.

So 'clergy' doesn't really apply to these guys.

He ain't much of a "clergy" if he doesn't understand the God given rights of safety and self-defense.

I cannot believe anyone would oppose this, especially teachers.

History is rife with examples where intentional ignorance of the masses has only served to hasten the downfall of the culture. I can't think of a single example that benefited more than it eventually hurt.

I don't care much for any organized "religion" but damned if it isn't always the Lutherans and the Jews going full Social Justice Warrior on every left wing cause. It was/is Lutheran Family Services that was/is importing Moooooslum "refugees" and settling them all over the country without informing much less asking the communities where they were being settled.

Churches that get involved in political agendas should be stripped of their tax exempt status and use the extra money to build the wall.

They can only be political in liberal causes. They will lose their tax exempt status if political in conservative causes.

On the plus side, not all clergy or churches are anti-gun.

    1. Father Pfleger (or Fr. Flagrant as he is known locally) in Chicago is pro-gun when it comes to HIS security, just anti-gun for law abiding citizens.
    2. Some churches have offered conceal carry classes.
    3. I carry (with permission) at my church 100% of the time.
    4. I am friends with a priest who lives in a sketchy (and getting worse) neighborhood. He's up there in age so I typically have to drive him to any place he goes now. I carry wherever we go and there has been a few times he's asked if I was carrying as the area gets more "diverse." I'm currently trying to get him to come to the range with me to fire some of my stuff.

When the Apostle Paul left Ephesus for the final time, he gave the believers a final admonition to be watchful for false teachers. That admotion is as meaningful now as it was in the 1st century.

Even from among your own number, men will rise up and distort the Truth in order to steal away disciples for themselves. So be on your guard. Remember, for three years I never stopped warning each one of you - night and day - with tears.
