    BOG peeps...

Just wondering what you use to clean your barrels after your shooting session???

Heard some guys us gasoline and diesel mixture for cleaning their barrels... they just leave the barrel and let it soak in the mixture for ten mins... then use a coarse / steel brush and brush the internal barrel vigorously...

any one tried this before on their Glocks???

Also planning to get some Breakfree CLP... Are these any good???

For the barrel, I use Hoppes 9. As for lubing, Breakfree CLP.

Haven't really cleaned the receiver of my G23 but heard ivory soap with warm water will do just fine.

Well definitely don't use steel brush (silver colored). Use the bronze/brass brush to scrub your barrel. Same as labuyo i use Hoppes9 for the barrel.

The rest of the gun (slide, receiver, etc.), i just wipe them using paper towels.

Mine I use the factory provided plastic brush lang after shooting session. Apply a thin coat of breakfree CLP inside the barrel, let it stay for about an hour or 2. Rinse with kerosene. Brush the remaining residues again and wipe dry with tissue. Lube with breakfree CLP. I use only fmj on my glock 17. No problems.:)

    1. dont use lead bullets

    2. run a small cotton patch soaked in hoppes no.9 inside barrel

    3. allow hoppes no. to soak in.

    4. scrub inside of barrel using plastic brush provided (brass brush if really dirty. never use steel brush)

    5. run soaked patch again

    6. run dry patch inside barrel

    7. repeat as needed

read your manual, there are very few parts that need lubing. in fact, overlubing a glock is useless at best. it will only serve to accumulate dirt.

oh and 8. dont use lead.

Depends on what kind of bullets you're using.

If FMJ, just ran a cotton patch soaked with hoppes 9 and let it soak in. Then run a dry patch over and over again until the last run comes out clean.

If lead, use HEAVY's advice but skip the plastic brush. No amount of scrubbing will remove the lead with plastic.

Two school of thoughts, yes it's safe to use lead on your Glock.

Ah YES, yung lumang toothbrush sino-soak ko sa alcohol then bina-brush ko very-very lightly yung may mga metal parts sa frame. Alcohol kasi tuyo agad. Then punas punas.

Yung barrel, in & out, I spray with carb cleaner and brush the inside with plastic bore brush. Yung slide, I also lightly spray carb cleaner and konti-konting toothbrushing then punas punas din.

Very little oiling, assemble then Joyce is ready again.

Sabi nila CANCEROUS daw yung carb cleaner. Naka gas-mask naman ako eh and I spray in an open area para halos wala akong ma-inhale.

WD40 turns into gunk and will attract dirt.
