I've read before that soap would be better than a cleaning solvent, although i haven't tried it before. Punas punas lang sa akin ayos na. :)

Warm water and dish washing detergent cleans real nice. Simple green works great too if it's available to you.

Back there I use gaas to clean my G19 (frame) and to remove the smell I scrub it with soap then put it under running water. I have a mini compressor to blow the excess water away. Then it came to me what do I need the gaas for?

every 2k rounds. don't field strip without a reference manual (for first timers) or get someone who has done it to guide you

If you shoot only around 300-500 rounds per range session, you don't need to complete disassemble the pistol. A simple field stripping, wiping off dirt and cleaning the barrel is surprisingly all that you'll ever need. Glocks are glocks.

nyordak17 - I just rinse it with all the parts in it, no need to disassemble since the gunk is not that much. I disassemble every 5000 rounds. It's really easy with the Glock compared to 1911, XD and revo.

Those gunk cleaner kits are available locally in a different version. You can use gaas if you can stand the smell. But why??? You can use tap water and soap. Like 345 said, brush lang yan.

vega is right. even a toothpick will do (ppts is an expert at that). another option is once you got a suitable nail/or a small jeweler's screwdriver, you can fashion it to become a punch. grinder lang ang katapat niyan;)

When i first got my glock, i made sure that i clean every nook and cranny which took me an hour or so just to make it sparklingly shine. Now i don't even bother, i think it's a waste of time. The Glock does not have a problem being dirty, i think it even likes being dirty. :)
