It's been ~1k rounds since i last cleaned my glock. there is a hard buildup on the barrel - feed ramp and upper right corner. I've gotten most of it off with a toothbrush with clp but some still remains. is there an easier way to get it off?

on pg37 of the glock manual, section titled "lubricating the field stripped pistol" it says
"most important, a drop of oil is needed where the rear end of the trigger bar touches the connector at the right rear corner of the frame"
Is there a closeup pic available pointing out that area?

First, it's a lot easier to clean if you clean it more often.

2nd, for the carbon build up I use a stiff nylon brush made for gun cleaning and some simple green. Rinse with hot water and dry with compressed air.

another newbie question, should i work the bore brush back and forth or should it always be pulled the direction the bullet travels. This is for my handgun and my rifle.

Right now, i only pull it the direction of the bullet, but it gets frustrating unscrewing the brush from the handle so i can take another pass.

Back and forth, but don't change direction mid-barrel.
