ANYONE GOING TO WATCH IT?
I THINK I WILL JUST TO SEE THE GRAPHICS.
I am so going to see that. I bought the original on DVD the other week so that my son could watch it.
I might check it out.
I just hope Hollywood does not touch The Beastmaster (Marc Singer).... I think that movie just cannot be remade. It is good enough as it is.
I can't wait, it looks awsome.
It depends who can be the Tanya Roberts role of Kiri.
Can't wait to watch it in 3D! Looks awesome. Looks like "300" but with more mythology.
I loved the movie as a kid. I will be in line when its released. Looks pretty good.
Beastmaster!? Yeah I'm hoping that one is left alone too. Lol
I am still trying to recover from the idea of remaking "Rooster Cogburn" Sacrilege
seen it tonight, good movie.
I've been in the process of replacing my old VHS with DVDs. Is Beastmaster avalible again on DVD?
Got a good buddy that does reviews for a few online things and a publication.
He said it was big time FAIL. Bad acting, embarrassing scenery, etc. I'll wait for it to hit cable.
ETA: My buddy ranted about such gems as Medusa's lair being located in Hades where someone comments "...no man has ever gone". Okay, um, if no man has ever gone there WHY ARE THERE MEN TURNED TO STONE THERE?!?!?!
It was ok..me and the kid went to see it. it was ok..nothing you could not wait for the DVD to come out though.
I'll wait for the DVD or on-demand.
That movie was spectacular to me in HS. Now she's hawking tours to some Las Vegas time share somethingorother. At least she was last time I heard the commercial in 07 or so.
Actually the line was "No man has ever left there"
The original was better. It's hard to beat a Ray Harryhausen film.
I saw it Saturday and while I thought the effects were stunning I found myself disinterested in the movie for the most part. There was something decidedly "counter-immersive" about it. It was a bad movie but, it wasn't great either. If I knew then what I know now I probably would not have gone to the theater to see it. It would have been just as much fun on my 60 incher at the house.
I heard from a friend of a friend that there's a site on the internet that allows you to stream thousands of dvd quality movies and even telesynced theatre releases fo' free right from your browser.
P.S., Piracy is bad!
P.P.S., Clash of the Titans almost put me to sleep, but I imagine if you watch it in an uncomfortable theatre seat it might help you stay awake.
I can't wait to see it because I loved the original when I was a kid. I don't do theatres though so I'll wait til' I can get in from Netflix.
From the other thread, "Unleash the Kagen!"
