Yesterday I brought my chrony to the range and tried out some different ammo with my G17.

It was about 95°F, low humidity, and a slight breeze. I used a Shooting Chrony Beta, placed about 10 ft from the muzzle. Each shot string was 10 rounds.

The ammo was:
S&B 115 gr FMJ
Federal American Eagle 115 gr FMJ
Blazer 124 gr FMJ
M882 112(?) gr (from what I could find online) FMJ
(here is a good link to the M882, see page 12-5)

The consistency of the Blazer was pretty good, and the spread of the M882 was pretty scary. I didn't bother to check group sizes. I'll save that for next time.

And without further delay:

I recently bought a G17 so this info is very interesting to me. The Blazer is a lot more consistent than the rest. Thanks for posting the results raising_arizona.

I think the next time I go out, I'm going to try the same ammo with a G17, G19, and G26 to test the effects of barrel length.

Hopefully, I'll have some carry ammo to test as well.
I look forward to when you can do that. I bought my first G26 in 1999 and my 19 in 2005, I like all three models.
