I recently went to a Chipotle restaurant and had one of their burritos. OMFG! THat thing was huge! I mean a real two-handed burrito with a ton of good stuff inside.

I mean this this was about the darn tastiest burrito I had outside of El Paso in a long time.

You have to go to this restaurant soon; is a great place to dine out.

    http://www.chipotle.com

    I reccommend it.

    Baja Fresh is better.

I have been to Chipotle 2, 3 times? and everytime I ordered my burrito, the meat was cold, as was the rice. The veggies were the only thing that was at right temperature.

    Caveat emptor.

If you're talking about Chipotle Grill, what you're eating is MacDonald's. So, you get what you pay for.

I like all the Chipotle I've been too, but indeed, Baja Fresh is better, and besides, the ones I've been in had real Mexicans cooking the food, LOL!

Anyone that says Baja Fresh is better than Chipotle has been smoking some illegal drugs, or doesn't appreciate actual taste. I'd equate Baja Fresh to Qdoba or such... it's edible, but very bland. Chipotle has some incredible dishes, especially the carnitas and barbacoa. Also, their hot sauces are actually HOT, rather than being just some luke-warm runny stuff.

The Mexicans in my neighborhood got one of those large kitchen trucks parked next to a tavern with some picnic benches out front. This is the best place to buy tacos and burritos. I usually order the burrito filled with brown rice, Lengua (beef tongue), and other good stuff.

I don't want to bash Chipotle - I think it is quite decent. But for anyone living or visiting the Denver/Boulder area in Colorado - you just HAVE to try a burrito at Illegal Pete's. Best darn burritos north of the border. No joke.

Forget chain restaurants. You want good Mexican food, go to a Mom-and-Pop (mama-y-papa?). If it is in a sketchy neighborhood, it should be pretty darned good.

The same goes for barbecue joints.

If it doesn't end in 'bertos it's not a good mexican food place. Robertos, Aibertos, Alibertos, Adalbertos, Filibertos, etc. There are a ton of em here. Sooo much better than crappy chipotle.
