Anybody like those green beans you get at Chinese places? I figured out how to make them. Well pretty close anyway.

    Olive oil
    Pepper
    Soy Sauce
    Garlic
    Frozen green beans

Saute garlic in olive oil a few minutes. Add green beans. Saute until done. Pepper and soy sauce to taste.

I add some grated fresh ginger to the olive oil and garlic. Finish the dish by adding some hot chili paste. Yummy!

Never though about the hot pepper! Duh!

Ginger, huh? Well that makes sense too.

On a trip to the PRC several years ago, our tour group had lunch at a commune outside of Shanghai. As with other meals, this one involved numerous dishes served on a lazy susan in the middle of a large round table. In this particular meal, however, FOUR of those dishes were green beans -- each prepared differently. (And none had ever seen a freezer).
