I took fresh Jalapenos out of the garden, cut the stem part off, seeded them, then stuffed them with a mixture of cream cheese and shredded cheddar. I then took each stuffed pepper, rolled it in egg & milk mixture, then breadcrumbs seasoned with seasoning salt & pepper. Then I fried them.

Pretty good. Go light with the amount of cream cheese you use.

I think a small box is about $4 at Wally World and a monster box about $8 at Sam's.

I am good Okie, how about you? :)

These are the ones I got tonight at Wal-Mart. I got both cream cheese and cheddar. I like both. We'll see how they taste. ;f

I'm pretty sure this is the same brand offered at Sam's.

BTW, for anyone wondering--my parent's garden has been pilfered by deer so much that the jalapenos were the ONLY things left at the time I dreamed up this recipe.

Man, those things were delicious!!! I was very impressed with both the cream cheese and cheddar! The cheddar ones tasted just like Sonic's cheddar peppers!!!

So deer won't eat jalapenos? Did they avoid them entirely or sample a few first? ;f

They will eat them, but only as a last resort after everything else in the garden has already been plucked clean.

Oh. So they won't work planted around the outside as a deterrent :(

We haven't found anything that will deter them. We've tried almost all the old hunter tricks--urine, hair, scarecrows...nothing seems to work when they're hungry.
