when you check out a gun, inside a gunshop or building ,do you point it at the floor or the ceiling?
It's always been th floor for me cause they are usually handed to you pointed down.
Yeah, I generally point at a corner towards the floor.
I point it at Nobama stickers.
I wave it around willy nilly without safety checking it, like everyone else at the gun shop.
This should end up as a Sticky...
Thats a pretty accurate conception of my local gun shop.
My side job is selling guns and as long as someone isn't pointing it at me or customers then I don't care.
I handed a gun to a customer action open pointed at the floor and he promptly swept my chest with the muzzle. Then he started giving me a bad time about handing him a gun with the safety off which I didn't take too kindly. He shut up after I pointed out how he pointed the muzzle at my chest. Moron.
I point it in whatever direction is safest for that particular situation and setting. I would not point down if I was in a second story stick-built building and there are people below me. I would not point up if I was in the basement and the family was in the room above my man-cave. Situational awareness.
Handguns I point down because that is more or less the way they are handed to me.
Rifles I point up because most of the time they are in racks pointed up. No sense in rotating it 180 degrees.
I don't have a preference. Anywhere no one is standing works for me.
I have been swept so many times at my gun shop I couldn't begin to even count.
Money is money, but if I were you, there would be a "One strike, yer out" clause somewhere.
I only work the job because I can buy guns, ammo, optics, etc, for just over cost.
You sweep me with the action open, you get a warning. Do it again, you're done.
You sweep me with the action closed, you don't get to handle guns anymore and I will be very direct about it.
I point them at the mirrors in the corners of a ceiling because I wanna see how badass I look.
Makes sense to me best answer yet.
There could be illegals hot tarrin' the roof!
I point it in whichever direction my mother-in-law is.
