Cheapest S&W Bodyguard .380

Anyone know the cheapest place to get it?

I found it online at GT Distributors for $380 with credentials (Department Letterhead and commission).

A local shop is offering it for $430 without credentials.

Any place cheaper with or without credentials?

Thanks

$430 seems about the normal low. Have you dry fired one already? I was interested since it has real sights, and made by S&W, but the trigger pull is ridiculous. Its heavier than a nagant revolver. I'm hoping they change that soon. It even has a manual safety! /rant.
Not too interested... I think a local shop, ProForce, has it for $438.
Got for a graduation gift. It actually shoots pretty nice. Its the only pocket gun I have shot or held for that matter that didn't feel like a little toy in my bear paws.

Yes I did dry fire one. The pull was a little stiff, but for a bug/pocket gun I don't see that being a bad thing. I see the use being close combat, a few feet, it would not affect steadiness of aiming. Also less chance of accidental discharge being it may be floating around in a pocket. Also the manual safety is the most attractive feature for me. It is also slightly thinner than the LCP.

To each his own I suppose. Being in a pocket holster (or any holster) I don't see the need for a manual safety. I also hate that most of the pocket pistols have no sights and long heavy triggers, because I would prefer my weapon not to limit me to 7 yards. I do hope they come out with a non laser version, since that seems like something to slow me down. I don't have to use the laser, but I don't want to pay the $150 extra for it either. Maybe a nice trigger, no manual safety, no laser, stripped model?

The Taurus TCP has a lot of hate, but a great trigger and a little bit of sights, the Ruger LCP has no sights and a long squishy pull, the diamondbacks are apparently breaking every 12 rounds...I guess I'm stuck saving for the PM9 or taking my chances on a PF9. /rant (sorry to derail the thread)

Why the bodyguard? The LCP and Kahr feels great in my side of beed hands. In my opinion S&W took the name of a great little back-up and off duty .38 special and stuck it own one of the dozens of little pea shooters of the size on the market. I hope this one does not go the way of some of their semiauto designs.

Other than the old sigmas, what bad designs have they had? I think I'll enjoy a little .380 at some point, if I'm around the house, etc etc, I don't want to constantly be wearing a full size weapon.
