Get one of those commercial dustpans that has the handle on it, and a broom... Works better than the "brass picker upper" :). You won't have to bend over anymore. It's also likely faster than the roller.

It should be noted, I shoot on a concrete slab.. but i think even on gravel or in dirt, it would work just fine. Should be able to pick one up at Lowes or Home Depot I would think...

Man i hate picking up brass i saw the roller thing on the internet somewere but it was 50 freaking dollars.. someone seen this cheaper? better idea??:wavey:
I use a sheet of army surplus mosquito netting and the roller thingy from Dillon. I also use the CTK Precision Universal Brass Catcher with a small sturdy tripod that is adjustable from 13" to 42". Neither are perfect, but using a combination of all, catches and/or collects 99% of my 10mm brass. At close to 20 cents a pop, I'm determined to retrieve all my brass, if possible.

I also made one from surplus mosquito netting, which worked great, but it is too big to transport in my car. (Sold my truck :crying: because I couldn't take $4 a gallon anymore.)

The trouble with plain tarps, sheets, painter’s canvas. Is that the wind gets up underneath them and knocks all of the brass off. Unless you stake the ends down (then you trip over the stakes) or put weight on the ends. Mesh tarps at least in the last two years that I have been using them I have not had to do any of the above. Yes you have to pay a little for them but they are well worth the price in the long run. Plus I probably get 99% or more of my brass back using the mesh tarps.
