I (was) thinking of picking one up for my 17. I've read here that they like remington golden bullets. So I checked the price and dang they are 6.3 cents per round, is that right? Is anyone having good luck shooting Blazers or something more economical??

I use the Remington golden bullets. I buy the carton of 550 rounds from Walmart...the price is around $19.
I get the 525 pack of 36g HP RGB for around $20 from Dick's Sporting Goods. And Dick's prices aren't the best, but it's close to my house and I am not going to drive out of my way to save a dollar. That's about 4 cents per round. And they shoot reliably from my AA kit.

Yes, that is a very high price. Just like the earlier poster said, a box of abut 550 is about $20 at Walmart. Those have worked just about as flawless as you can get w/ my kit. I used Federal AutoMatch too, but it was not as reliable as the Remington Golden Bullets and they are more expensive.

Use only Federal AutoMatch, Remington Golden Bullets 550 round bonus pack, CCI Mini Mags and Remington 22 Target packaged 100 rounds in a 3in square clear box with a green and blue label. This info is from Advantage Arms. Using other choices is an invitation for disaster.

My thought is to pass on the Rem Golden Bullets. I had a case rupture not too long ago. Google case rupture and remington golden bullet and you'll see that quality control is lacking. That said, 6.3 cents a round isn't cheap, but you have to compare to 9mm not bargain basement .22 rounds. It's all relative.

I have a AA G17 .22 cal conversion kit on my Lone wolf Lower and shoot it as a dedicated .22.
I have tried all .22 and the best is REMINGTON GOLDEN BULLETS.

I find that the 100 rd pack is best followed by the 550 pack.

Any thing else you will have the basic, shoot, Jam, shoot, jam, and so on.

I even shoot the rimfire course during STEEL Competitions.

Yes it has a Burris Fast Fire II optical sight on the rear.
