Remember her? She is a bad motherforya! Check this mess out.
Are you saying she is good or good for a girl?
Or are you saying something completely different?
Go listen to her play, make up your own mind. I think she's a bad-ass. Here's another one....
I remember her guest appearances on The Love Boat. Cuchi-cuchi.
Wow, I had no idea she was still around, wonder how old she is.
She was smokin' when she was younger. I haven't seen her in decades but she was quite talented. Her hubby was a big band conductor.
She can play
Out-frickin-standing! A.S., you've got the coolest musical taste in G.T.!
I was thinking love boat, too.
I guess she learned her flamenco chops under Segovia, among others.
Charo is also fluent in Japanese, French, and Spanish.
As a young girl, she studied guitar under Andres Segovia, one of the fathers of modern classical guitar music.
I believe she was the one time wife of Xavier Cugat, a big band leader famous in the 40's. He was noted for his red hot wives. They would shake & sing until they got somewhat famous, then divorce him & go on their own. I saw her recently on some show & I would guess she's had a goodly amount of cosmetic surgery. Still she'd have to be in her 70's.
well she was holding up well in that 2013 video , great job picking for a 70 plus year old
Charro can definitively jam on the Spanish guitar.
Wow, I did not know she was a musician. Awesome!!
One thing that she really has down, that makes and breaks a musician, is her timing. It's right where it needs to be, and sounds so good.
Cugat's wife before Charro was a hottie singer named Abbé Lane. 1952-1964
He had good taste in beautiful women.
At one time she was rated as one of the top three flamenco guitarists in the world.
Johnny Carson and she had some great moments on TV.
This is my dad's favorite song. I've been listening to it for 44 years in different incarnations. This version is among the best I've heard and its live! That's saying a lot.
Thanks for posting and my old man thanks you too.
Absolutely amazing. She used to do the talk show circuit back in the 70's (Carson and such). I remember her singing and dancing. I never saw her show off that kind of talent. I've got a whole new level of respect for her. She is a no sh!+ musician!
