i have the chance to trade for one dont know much abt em.
does anyone here have a hands on opinion of the gun?
it is blued commander length 1911 with pretty much all the bells and whistles you would want on a 1911. any links to review on em? all i can find is the full sized version
anyways would it and 6 mags, a fobus holster and the box for it be worth a blued steel birdshead vaquero in 45lc with a set of elk horn stag grips?
i like the vaquero but my old eyes are getting so i can shoot it accurately
i carry a springfield xd45 compact and thought i might like to try a 1911 with more modern sights and in the same caliber i currently own
so hit me up with the good, bad and the ugly on the charles daly ems
thanks in advance for any help on this matter

Charles Daly did just announce they were going out of business if that concerns you. It would not concern me.

    No problems with mine.

I have the EFS. The last run of CD 1911 were built in the Philippines by Armscor.

Its actually a nice looking, good shooting 1911.

Its a standard 1911. Most the parts are Armscor in the Philippines.

I have an older CD compac "officers model", that I bought new in the early 90's. No bells or whistles, but a great shooter. It has slept in my truck console for years. I have always kept my eyes open for a full size 1911 to match it, until the CD announcement.

I have a EFS and it has been reliable and is very accurate. Like mentioned made by Armscor. I like mine for the price I paid. I out shoots some of my more expensive pistols.

It is an accurate sub $500 1911.
