    Lots of flaws with this. The main one being people have cold (or hot) drinks because they want them, cold (or hot). You are converting heat in the drink into electrical energy and bringing your drink to room temperature.

    Much easier ways to do this.

    Peltier junction, not Stirling. Interesting little toy. Certainly better than nothing, but a toy none the less.

    Wouldn't be good for much juice, there just isn't much energy there and without a way to heat/cool the other side of the Peltier junction, output will be significantly reduced.

    Now this, on the other hand, would be a much more useable tool:

    sorry but i have much better things to do with a cold beer than charge my cell.

    besides, once i start drinking beer me and my cell are done with each other for the day anyway.

    Or, put your hot coffee on the blue side, and it draws the power out of the phone instead of charging it.
