Fake news is made by fake journalists.
Journalists manipulated the situation? Unpossible.
I bet he yells fire in a crowded theater or bomb at the airport as well.
Hang him high
I watched the clip twice.....I have no idea what he did
Slap him around a little...off camera.
Apparently it was video of a guy really walking down the street firing real gunshots - TV station said they investigated and the guy was just playing back his video of the shooter when these jackasses came up and accused him of playing fake gunshot sounds. Real video included in the story.
KSTP news director responds to social media video regarding reporter Rich Reeve
IDK about this case specifically, but the media is the enemy of the people. I think people see this now more than ever.
Did he not play the sound on air?
Always trying to hype it up, create more shock and awe, get people to tune in, get their name up on the screen. Fake fake fake. Don't believe half of what you see anymore. Real journalism is DEAD.
That is absolutely disgusting. Professional journalism left years ago.
I don’t care to listen to state, national news. I have to research what’s real, and what is fake. Easier to find out truth from the start.
You mean there is no integrity in journalism?
I am highly disappointed, crushed even.
There was a shooter at that same location, just moments before the "reporter" replayed the video, but bystanders heard only the sounds from the phone, but not the sound from the actual shooter, moments prior?
And lamestream wonders why their ratings are falling. Does anyone believe what the reporter said when asked why he did it? "I didn't know what it was."
They seem to have a somewhat reasonable explanation (other than inducing panic)
He should be fired!
Where does the story say he recorded it "moments prior"? Did you just make that up?
That's the claim the reporter's boss seemed to be attempting, which doesn't make sense.
So this "reporter" just happened to review an old video, on his phone, while covering another story?
Every point seems fishy.
How loud was the volume set on his phone?
If he had it cranked all the way up maybe he was trying to get a reaction - but if the sound was at normal levels I don't see it as a big deal.
Plus - even when the guy was actually shooting a real gun into the air - nobody seemed to care - so why would the video with gun fire make people upset?
