I have some Questions about what will and will not work on swapping parts and slides . I did a search but didn't find the answer I was looking for .

Given that you are working with the same size frame ,

Will a Gen 4 slide work on a Gen 3 ? With the spring adapter of coarse .

Will a Gen 3 slide work on a Gen 4 ?

I have all Gen 3 Glocks and with barrel / magazine changes can have the same basic gun as most of the others. I am looking at getting a Gen 4 in a full size and just wondered if I could swap slides to the preferred frame .

Gen3 slide will work on a Gen4 frame.

Gen4 slide will NOT work on a Gen3 frame. The nose ring on the slide is larger than the dust cover on the frame.
