The light striker spring has a pretty big effect on trigger pull weight, but it definitely can lead to reset issues. The heavier trigger spring helps with "shortness" of trigger feel (most people think it makes for a better break), but it also works against reset.

Making sure you have all the recommended lube points taken care of, polishing everything up in the trigger group will help some (lots of metal on metal rubbing going on in there, working against the trigger getting pulled back into reset.)

A stock weight striker spring (5.5lb) will likely solve any reset issues.

On the powders for 180gr slugs and heavier (for max velocity pursuits), AA #9, 800x, Blue Dot, Long Shot and VV-N105 are the ones.

Personally, I think 1150fps is about perfect for a bonded 180gr JHP like Gold Dot and HST. Anout 100 powders will achieve that with your LS.. ;)

    Have fun.

IMO, you are not getting 1300fps safely with any medium burner, which CFE is. Agree, if I want 180gr bullet going 1100fps, I can just shoot a max loaded 40, but then that is just loafing for the 10mm.
BTW, if you are increasing powder charge & NOT getting a vel increase, that in itself can be a over pressure sign.
