I'm getting ready to upgrade from my original Droid with Verizon. Right now it's between the DROID 4 by MOTOROLA, DROID RAZR MAXX by Motorola, DROID RAZR by Motorola 16GB or Galaxy Nexus by Samsung. Any suggestions?

Should I wait a bit longer for something else (keep in mind hell will freeze over before I use an Apple product)?

I would get the Maxx because of the battery alone. I'm tired of carrying around an extra battery.

Get an iPhone instead. Forget everything else and ignore nay-sayers.

Why do you need a cell phone? You don't freakin' call people back.

I have a Motorola Droid X I got this time last year that has been wonderful.
Nice big screen, no problems with it.

    Love my Droid X.
They might not make them anymore, I'd get whichever was closest to it, feature and size wise.

The phone you want is the galaxy nexus. Android 4.0, 1.5ghz processor, easily rooted and overclocked. It smokes every single phone. Camera takes pics faster than any other phone and some cameras..

Do you have one, if so how's the battery with that huge screen? Is it worth waiting for the Galaxy S3?

I have a galaxy nexus, love it! The battery is more than adequate for my usage needs. After a typical day up at work when I head home it is right around 66%, that is with moderate usage, say dozens of texts throughout the day, checking the weather, etc.

If I know I'm going to be using the phone heavily I crank down the screen brightness so it will last longer. I love the panorama camera function and being able to take 1080p video and then play it on my computer is awesome. Also the ice cream sandwich operating system rocks. I've owned mine since launch day, it has locked up 2-3 times since I purchased it (fixed by a simple restart) but otherwise it has been flawless. Oh and the 1080p screen kicks butt. For me it was the perfect phone, but if you don't value being able to take 1080p video, or appreciate a high definition screen the other choices might suite you just as well.

The only downside is a handful of apps on the marketplace are not compatible with ice cream sandwich yet, but that number is getting smaller and smaller each day.

Oh and no I would not wait for the Galaxy S3, but I waited forever to get this phone. You will have to determine if the S3 features are worth the wait to you (don't know anything about the S3 personally).

When Verizon finally started carrying the iPhone, I purchased the iPhone 4s. Prior to that I had a Motorola Droid that was such a pain that I traded it in within the time limit for an HTC. The iPhone is so much more user friendly than either of these phones. The iPhone just works "period". I never even have to think about it...it just plain works and is so intuitive, you don't even have to read the manual...just start using it right out of the box. BTW...I have no opinions one way or the other regarding Apple. The iPhone was the simplest, easiest phone to use so I just went with it.

I do. I like it, battery life is good. I'm pushing 2.2ghz and that can drain the battery. But with heavy use I still get 6-8 hours. You can easily go a day if you clock it slower. Screen/phone is big,but they are all kinda big. Phone is slightly curved.
us like to see the s3, but the release date is all wishy washy.
