I think the simulated munching and "arrival" by the female was what did them in.
Pffft. It's only a dance.
And some say public schooling isn't worth the cost
A poor simulation of the act at best.
Not the best idea.
All the Sex Freaks are teaching at the Public Schools.
Man, I gotta date a teacher!
I'm finding it difficult to become outraged at a "simulated" anything performed by adults in front of high school students at an extra-curricular activity. Anybody here ever go to high school? The student body was usually pretty raunchy to begin with.
Anybody watched prime time TV in last 10 years?
It ain't like kids in senior high are going to be shocked by the act. The actors, maybe and only because it might be unexpected but, not the act.
Just stupid. Yes, teens are raunchy, yes, they see a lot on tv. So what? Doesn't mean I want the people I PAY to teach in my schools to behave stupidly in front of my kids.
What, exactly were they "teaching" while at a "pep-rally?"
Again, I never said it was just dandy and professional, I said I'm having trouble being the least bit bothered by it. It seems to me that a couple of teachers got a bit out of hand (even though that never happens to anyone on this board) and carried on a little too much for their supervisor's taste.
I can't really see suspending them over it. A verbal chewing and a "c'mon, try to act like grown ups" would probably have been suffiecient to stop any future displays of childishness.
It ain't like they were performing the skit from the scool master in Monty Python's "And now, for something completely different."
I maintain my initial level of outrage: Tempest, teapot.
They need to be promoted to trash collectors.
Two teachers' performance of a dirty dance at a Canadian high school rally has led to their suspension without pay.
Yeah, 'cause my wife and all her friends are all really a bunch of sex freaks. I wish.
If they use such poor judgement during a pep rally, what the heck are they doing in the classroom with fewer witnesses? Fire them.
in spite of the public school student body being lacking, the "teachers" exercised poor judgement.
I will agree that they exercised "poor judgement" but, barring this scenario being an ongoing disciplinary problem with the specific teachers in question I really can't see (or get behind) the justification for suspending them without pay.
Poor judgement of this level doesn't really rise to the severity of the punishment, in my opinion.
It was a childish display, not a "sexual act."
we dont know what their contract states as discipline for various violations or acts/displays....
