    Last night I get a call to the park and ride bus stop at the edge of town for a fight involving several people, one of whom has a gun. I'm first on scene and spot a matching description walking away from the area at a trot. I stop him at gunpoint while other units locate the other involved parties.

    He's pocket carrying an S&W .40 and a spare mag on a valid CCW permit. HE proceeds to say that these four juveniles had started "jumping" him and when he got hit he pulled his gun and said "whats up now?" thereby scaring them off.

    The other side of the story sort of matches, except of course in the juveniles version the CCWer hit first, then pulled the gun when they were defending THEIRselves. So we're thinking a bunch of nonsense pretty much, and then dispatch comes back that the CCWer is wanted out of a neighboring agency for assault and terroristic threats.

    So in short, I arrested the CCWer for the warrants and applied to have his permit revoked. At the very least his gun will be in the system for quite awhile before he can get it back.

    So, fellow JBT's...how'd I do? Am I a credit to the gun confiscating profession? Did I properly violate the second amendment here? Should I have just assumed he was good to go since he had a CCW and kicked him loose without hesitation? Inquiring minds want to know (somewhere I'm sure).

    Dude...he had a CCW....that makes him immune from any criminal acts.

    Did you keep his gun for personal use? If not, we will need to revoke your JBT card....

    I would have punched him in the face, got his ID out while he was unconcious, found out where he lived, then driven to his house to set up to follow his wife around while playing with the new gun I "confiscated." All without an appointment or a hat.

    Yeah - that's just how I roll.

    Sounds like you did your job to me. I think plenty of people try to find themselves in a situation where they could use there gun's and maybe they shouldn't have a CCW just my opinion

    Nah - I can only fire it off so many times per day. Takes awhile to reload. :cool:

    Lol...nope. In this area it's not news unless the police beat the crap out of him first and "witnesses" say it was for no good reason.

    Major fail, Although you tried to make us believe you harassed a CCW holder for no reason you actually arrested him for outstanding warrants.

    It only counts when you had no reason to stop them or arrest them to begin with. Then you get your JBT merit badge.

    :rofl::rofl:

    If I had to judge solely on the information given, the guy with the CCL is just a criminal that has a CCW permit. He seems to have a knack for getting into trouble and appears to be a wanted man. Just having a valid CCL does not mean you can go looking for trouble or that you are automatically the good guy.

    Did he have a CCW badge?

    If so, I believe that is a penalty enhancement.

    Was any part of the weapon painted safety orange or hi-viz green?

    Was he wearing his badge and or reflective sash? If so, he gets preferential 'gold card' booking and a private cell with cable TV.
