I guess earlier this evening a guy walked into a store and bought a kitchen knife, went outside and started to attack people with it. A bystander with a CCW pulled out his pistol and held the guy until police arrived. Crazy thing is after I graduated college and started working for my Dept I lived right across the street from this store, did all my shopping there. Just another victory for the good guys, that CCW holder probably saved others from getting stabbed also.

I wonder what the reason was for the guy buying a knife and then randomly stabbing people. He didnt have a knife at his house. Did he just snap while grocery shopping. :dunno:

Read about that. Sounds like the CCW guy was super cool through the whole thing.

Sounds like good stuff, and I hope the fellow can survive his 15 minutes (inevitable media scrutiny into his life).

That's an area of Salt Lake I wouldn't go into unarmed at any time. It's not a good neighborhood. I used to live not too far from there. Cross town now

Moral to this story: ALWAYS carry; even when ou are just going to the store.

I read where this is a bad part of the city....but crazy people are EVERYWHERE.

Though, there does tend to be more of them in bad neighborhoods.:steamed:

Probably. You know how stores like to have a dozen registers but only open 1 express and 1 standard then you stand in a long line of food stamp recipients buying steak when you're there for some Smuckers Grape for your PBJ. :whistling:

If you think that sounds crazy, you haven't been paying attention to the "knife crime" and "knife control" news coming from the UK.
