You gentleman are missing a zero in your quantities if you want to make this a worthwhile and economically feasible purchase. When you order 20,000 it's $34/1000 to the door - which granted, is about 8 bucks more per 1000 than the last bunch I ordered.

Yea but dropping 700 dollars on primers isn't feasible for a good chunk on the population. The other side of it is plan ahead and it will be. I understand both sides but favor the more broke side

Become a capitalist, start your own small business. Place the larger order on your credit card. When the goods arrive, let it be known on some local or state boards and at your shooting clubs. You can recover the cost + the ship/haz mat thru a slight markup to your buyers. Maybe make a small profit for the time value of your invested money.

I snagged up 15k which was just over $34 each. The cheapest locally I have ever seen was just under $35 with tax for CCI. So I ended up even on this one.

I ordered up a bunch as well, the small pistol primers aren't readily available locally that I've found anyway so what the heck, the shipping is five bucks plus hazmat and no running around to different shops and gun shows. I wouldn't have done it for a 1,000 but start with multiple boxes you amortize the hazmat fee over the 5 - 10 or more boxes it becomes more reasonable, especially give the recent uptick in gas prices. There aren't any easy answers and each shooter/reloaders needs are different.

Well...scratch that. Got an email from Cabelas this morning that said:
I'm kinda worried with all the typos in there, but either way, not charge on the CC. But no SPPs either...

Anyone else that placed an order have the same thing happen?

Sorry about that, guys--I just ordered another 4K SRP and 4K LPP for $297.23 or about $0.03715375/primer--that was including the $20 hazmat+$5 shipping. I'm hoping that this load should hold me for a little while on LPP (I still have a lot of WLP and CCI LPP,) but I'm definitely for a good while with the rifle primers.

I tried ordering 10K of the LPP, but got a message that they were out of stock. Didn't get the message when I only ordered one box, so I kept adding quantity until the magic number (5) tipped the scale, resulting in the "out of stock" message. So, I just ordered 4000 of each type.

You don't buy just 1000 primers at a time when you're doing it online. But if you buy in bulk, the hazmat fee gets "watered down".

Locally around here, primers were going for $40 per 1000 BEFORE the shortage, nobody even has any now. I always buy my primers in the 10k or 20k batches online, best prices I've seen.
