Anyone have any comments or experience to share re carrying a G22 concealed? I most often carry my gen2 G19, and also have a gen4 G27.

I've decided to get a larger .40, and am leaning towards the G22.

I've got a 17 but don't CC it, since it's set up for competition and I don't like to mess with changing it back and forth....

Feedback appreciated,

George

Have a few times OWB when I wear a jersey, only thing I have long enought to cover it. Its not bad, have carried a G20 IWB and thats a little bigger than a G22. It's all about where you place it. First time carried the G20 over my G29 was fine for a few hours but started to hurt after awhile till I moved the holster about an inch. If you already carry a G19 the 22 will not be much different. My crossbreed holsters fit all the 9mm 40sw 357sig models, not sure what holster you have but if it will fit you can try it around the house and see how it feels before going out with it.

Just be dedicated to dressing around the gun.

I've CCW'd full size pistols like G17's and 1911's.

Wear your shirts and pants one size larger then normal. Get a good, proper gun belt and a good holster. Dark colors and patterns on heavier fabric conceal much better then solid, thin light colored shirts.

I carry either a G22 or G20SF. Not a big problem with me. Cargo shorts and buttom shirt in warm weather and cargo pants and LS button shirt in cooler weather.
No one seems to have notice for the past year.

I tried a G17 for a wee little bit. Just too big for me in grip height top to bottom. I am a bigger guy at 6' 1" but it just wasn't working for me given my work and the seasons. I could do it in winter during personal time, but I don't have the need.

So I got a G19, then a G26. Carry the G26 most of the time.

My duty gun is a G22; carried it concealed for years. Done it both off-duty and in plainclothes assignments. I also know a number of guys carrying G17s AIWB.

Absolutely dress around the gun. It helps if your chest is larger than your waist---the bigger the drop, the easier the task. Oversize polos, Hawaiian shirts, Dickie work shirts and sports jerseys are great.

My normal holsters are a Bianchi Avenger when I need retention and a Kramer IWB. Dressup has me in a SafariLand ALS, but that's OC. I've used 5-11 belts (poor), Aker (fair) and Wilderness 5 stitch (superb).

I do it G22, summer months button down unbuttoned with my kingtuk and once even a t shirt and it disappeared I was surprised.

Now that the seasons are changing it's so much easier just by wearing a sweatshirt or a blazer you will have alot more freedom with colder months obviously
