I've been using my 96' to commute recently and would like to cut down on wind noise. I try to use plugs but don't really like the muffled sound with them in.

Does anyone have experience with the taller aftermarket windscreens? Do they noticeably cut down on wind noise?

Unless that wind screen is taller than your head, you will still suffer the noise. If anything, it'd be worse because the wind usually gets deflected by the screen and hits you in the face instead of chest as in a standard factory screen.

Earplugs are your friends. That and a full face helmet.

Yes, I wear a Shoei RF800 along with other gear.

Thanks for the input. You guys just saved me from wasting some money.
