I saw the little orange kitten this morning that the neighbor lady adopted. He is doing great and was climbing all over her when she came to the door. His bacterial infections are gone. Not 100% up to speed yet but getting there.

RPK, it looks like Sylvie is enjoying a nice fall day. You did a nice job on that catio.

    Thanks, Tim!
I wish Roland! would have had a chance to see it. He was an outdoor cat and we tried so hard to make him indoors only but he had that wild gene.
I often wonder if he could have gotten his "outdoor fix" by just being in a catio.

Wow, that's somethin' really special, bet that guy has had that cat since it was a kitten and somehow lost it's mother.

If the above were two strangers in the woods, those jaws would be about 6-8 inches further down and the guy would be dead meat in less than a couple minutes. Mountain Lions are the perfect ambush machine. When out and about in the woods you don't accidently run into a Mountain Lion like maybe you would a bear, the mountain lion hunts and hunts for meat pure and simple.

Anyway, WTG to that guy, looks like he's got a place out in the boonies somewhere and knows how to take of that big cat. This is not something for like 99.9% of people to do or attempt to do.

That's Messi. He has a genetic issue that makes him about half the normal size he would be, and he was rescued from a zoo by the couple who now care for him. Their YouTube channel is 'I am puma', and he's basically a giant housecat. He must be a real trip to live with.

    Here's an odd question.

I'm still giving kitty her Terbutaline pill 2x daily. Happily I can mix it with whipped cream, cream cheese, yogurt or anything else and she woofs it down.

Right now I'm using a tin of wet cat food to deliver the pill, this stuff:

5.5oz and I have one of those plastic covers for it.

With how much I use every day, this can will last a year but how long does the Caturday think tank estimate it will stay good for?

Peng, keeping wet food covered and cold, I go 5-6 days before tossing it. Normally it's gone way before that. Usually it's a can that got pushed back and forgotten about.

I agree with Tim - refrigerated and covered I wouldn't go more than about 5 days, either. Unrefrigerated no more than one. If a single can will last you a year, you obviously need more cats! Mine devour a single can in one setting and want more.

For some reason that photo is saddening. The worried look of the kitten and the scared duckling are troubling. Or maybe I read too much into it. :)
Not cat related but thought I'd share this. I have some skunks that come around every night to clean up left over cat food. One skunk has taken a liking to me and will follow me around and jump up on my leg with both front feet. He keeps doing this until I give him a little more dry cat food. I'd reach down and pet him but I'm afeared.
