Biggest Christmas card we've received so far has come from chewy.com... has me thinking about our cat budget.
My cat budget is my touring motorcycle I was going to buy when I retired and see all the parts of the U.S. I haven't been to. I just use Google Earth.
As the summer with all the bird babies fledging, and some species migrating on, our bird feeders food budget went down a bit.
Then we go and adopt another cat, and our cat food and vet visit budget increases.
We can’t win.
I had my eye on a Microtech Ultratech OTF auto but I’ve blown that in the past two months easy.
Speaking of vet visits, I had a new problem develop in one of my oldest cats. Her left third eyelid (nictitating membrane) had become red and every now and then a drop of blood would form in the corner of her eye . I was debating taking her to the vet when Friday blood started running out. I have an appointment Monday to get her checked out. She is eating good and doesn't act sick. Talking to the vet, she didn't seem too concerned with this in an older cat.
I hear ya.
Getting sylvie has put a dent in our cat budget. We've got her on expensive kidney food now and her vet visits have added up since she arrived.
We've come to expect that though with the older kitties. Just sucks.
Tim, how did things go?
She examined the old girl and said the heart sounded strong. The eye thing could be not so serious or very serious. She mentioned two types of cancer that could cause the eye bleeding. She prescribed some eye meds that I have to do twice a day. The cat is eating well and doesn't act sick at all so I'm hoping for the best.
Roxy (the assistant) showed me a photo of Pumpkin, the kitten she adopted and she is doing very well. She sleeps right between Roxy and her husband's head. I asked her to email me a pic to post here.
Well here's an odd couple for sure...
Then there's this couple...
And finally this black beauty...
Yup, that cat does a purrrrfect Garfield impression. Later.
Damn, where's Mighty Mouse when you need him?
Well I love persistence, besides all cats and kitties know, "No risk it, no biscuit"(Cooked/Tons of Aroma fish). Later.
