    Winchester Ranger T 180 gr JHP (RA40T)
Federal 180gr JHP (LE40T1) = Tacticle LE ammo
Remington 180gr JHP (GS40SWB) = Golden Saber line
Speer 180gr JHP Gold Dot (Any brand with Gold Dot, loaded to aprox. 1000fps should all have similiar results).

Hands down my choice would be the Remington Golden Saber 165gr hollow points. All of the ballistics tests seem to indicate that as well.
My second choice would be the federal 155gr Hydra shock. They have the second best track record.

I like the golden sabre 165gr too, but I use winchester silvertip 155gr. I like the high velocity, it cycles the g22 faster, and it expands in anything. Also it is relatively cheap for premium defense loads, about $20-23 for box 50.

I like 165gr Golden Sabers (great prices at Kieslers) and 135gr Cor-bon (from Ivanhoe).

I've tried them all, and IMHO, the Winchester 155 Silvertip stands head and shoulders above the pack, with the Remingtim 165 G.S second.

And as Peter sez, it's relatively cheap compared to the other defense loads.

Just out of curiosity, how would you compare the recoil between these two rounds? I've never shot the Silvertips, but I think I remember hearing that they're fairly robust.

I'll also put in a recommendation for the 155 gr. HydraShok.

The recoil of both loads that you mention is relatively heavy, but not brutally so. Out of my Glock 35, there is a lot less of the "snappiness" that I got when shooting them through my Glock 23. I have yet to find anything that's abusive out of my Glock 35 -- the extra slide mass really softens the recoil.
