Hey guys, I'm trying to find a good way to conceal carry while wearing my hiking pack.

I've seen some little satchel type bags that go crosswise over your shoulder and can hold a handgun... can anyone point me in the right direction in terms of finding one online?

Would like to be able to carry a G19 with TLR1 attached whilst hiking.

Maxpedition, 5.11, those are two good places to start looking.

If it's good enough for Jack Bauer, it should be good enough for any manly carry.

Maxpedition is the way to go! I'm a huge fan of their products. In particular, it sounds like you're looking for something in their Versipack line of gear.

You want to carry a purse with you while you hike?

Questionable sexuality completely aside for a minute, do you think a purse is a good thing to have swinging around on you while you're hiking?

I have a 511 messenger bag with ccw pocket and a 511 MOAB10 with same. If on a hike I would use the MOAB. The messenger bag is what I use if I happen to be carrying my laptop or ipad.

    This.

You can run the strap around your padded waist belt on your pack. It's just looks like a big pouch on your belt so as not to frighten the hippies on the trail too. Very good solution.

Adds risk that you loose your footing in those high heels.

I live in hiking country and I carry a Browning hunting pack with water bladder or a Maxpedition Sitka. Simply carry your EDC at your waist IWB under a t-shirt or jacket weather permitting and it wont be noticed and easily accessibly you dont need two bags. If nothing else look at the various holster makers fanny packs out there. That would be much better than two bags.

If you have to have a bag. Get something small but manly like the ITOA pack from www.hawkepaks.com.

I forgot this. I actually like this better than ANY bag.

See this youtube video -- [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0Aji7Dn0ho"]Classic Concealed Carry Holster Purse Shoulder Bag CCW - YouTube[/ame]
The bag is also available in ballistic nylon.
It is called the raven bag, available at www.guntotenmamas.com
    Also available at www.sportco.com

Will fit the G19 with the included holster, but without a light attached. For that you will probably have to experiment with a maxpediton hook and loop universal holster.
