Does anyone of you carry a full size pistol like SIG P226, Beretta 92FS, Glock 17…etc? I’ve been carrying a full size pistol for a long time, sometimes a Beretta 92FS Inox, sometimes a Glock 17 and for the time being I carry a CZ85B. I DO find a problem carrying it concealed when the outside temperature is above 40 degrees Celsius, but on the other hand I really like the feel of the full-size pistol.

I’d like to hear your experience regarding this. Why do you carry a full-size weapon? I’ve been thinking recently about getting something smaller for pocket carry, a G26 maybe (I wear a vest most of the time but I’m just not sure if it would be comfortable) and my other option is to get a S&W MP340 or MP360 revolver but my budget is not so high (I’m a student). Not sure if I need a smaller pistol? I’d really like to hear your advices and experience. :)

Winter time means full size pistol carry for me. Usually a G17. Sometimes a GP100

no, I honestly even think my Glock 23 is on the big size for nice comfortable concealable CC..id rather have a nice narrow single stack.

I carried a Beretta 92fs Vertec for a couple of years, a Glock 17 for a couple of years, and a full sized 1911 for the last 5 years or so. Full sized pistols shoot better, so I'm willing to put a bit more effort into concealment in order to have one with me. Coats in the winter, sweatshirts in the spring and fall and untucked cotton shirts in the summer work just fine with a quality belt and IWB holster.

I carry my P226 all the time in winter. Too big for summer carry though unless I wear a baggy jacket.

Winter and fall, sig266 or g21sf. Why? cause I can. I feel more confident in my abilities with my compacts and larger.

Pocket guns are for when anything else wont work.

My supertuck fits my Glock 26 and my Glock 22, so sometimes the 22 will see some carry time. It really isn't too difficult to conceal and the holster actually makes it pretty comfortable.

I have started carrying a G22 full time. Not a lot of problems, just have to prepare for it.

12 months a year, it's either a STI 1911 9mm Trojan, or the same in .45. I carry them in a IWB VMII.

I can conceal/carry my G17, although I'm waiting to get some rounds down the tube.

I carry a Sig P220/226 in a MTAC but recently have gone back to my favorite in a 5" 1911 wiht a Milt Sparks VM-II.

I used to carry a smaller pistol because I didn't try to carry a full-size, but I have no trouble concealing one so why not. I have a j-frame in a pocket holster when I am at school.

I'd get the S&W 642 for pocket carry, it's my weapon of choice for a back-up.

When I was in Law Enforcement many years ago, I routinely carried a Sig P226 concealed both on and off duty for years. I carry a 1911 via an IWB holster quite a bit lately. It's so flat that it conceals surprisingly well, even without a big jacket.

My every day carry is a Glock 17 in a Kramer #2 holster with a Don Hume belt.

Same gun if it's 100 degrees and humid or 5 degrees and snowing.

All you have to do is be dedicated to dressing around the gun. I'm not very fashion conscious.

I carry a full framed pistol in the Kimber Pro CDP. However, the barrel is only 4".
