Respectfully, there is nothing even remotely factual in that statement.

Sagan, like all material naturalists, starts with his own pre-conceived conclusion rather than following the evidence wherever it leads. He pre-supposes that there is nothing outside the natural realm, which inexorably leads to goofy claims that the universe created itself from absolute nothingness without a cause, and that the stuff that created itself then assembled itself - again with no cause - into kitty cats and astronauts. Yet while he claimed that there is nothing supernatural, he concurrently asserted that a singularity - which by definition is supernatural - "caused" the universe. Like all material naturalists who worship at the false alter of scientism rather than science, he lived in a state of cognitive dissonance by holding two views simultaneously which were in contradiction.

Please do explain how a singularity is supernatural?

I want to hear this too!

Any other supernatural stuff predicted by General Relativity, mathematically possible and actually observed in nature besides black holes?

    Are cell phones supernatural?

What/who created the asserted creator in your pre-supposed scenario? How do you know any of these assertions are factual?

    Great Post......:goodpost:

Carl Sagan was just another humanist who thought he was smarter than God.
He was the poster boy for atheists just because he sounded intelligent.

    That video contains mostly nonsense.
    Some of it borderline demonic.

It's rumored that Carl Sagan became a believer and accepted Jesus Christ just before he died of cancer. I hope he did.

Either way, he most certainly believes in God now.

A christian trying to explain their faith to an atheist is like explaining the Sahara desert to a Dolphin. They just don't get it.

Sagan was an agnostic who thought there was likely some god somewhere in the universe. Not the god of the Bible or Jesus Christ.

His wife of 20 years (Ann Druyan), who was with him when he died, was quoted in Newsweek saying...
"There was no deathbed conversion," Druyan says. "No appeals to God, no hope for an afterlife, no pretending that he and I, who had been inseparably for twenty years, were not saying goodbye forever."

It's interesting how Christians, who love to hammer other people about being immoral, have no problem at making this "rumored" stuff up from thin air.

Luckily for them there are only 2 neighbors, one on each side of their house, that they cannot bear false witness against.

Everyone and everything else is fair game it seems.

Not really. You could show the dolphin the Sahara. It's not make believe.

The better analogy is explaining leprechauns to a dolphin.

Nature is the realm where the Laws of Physics apply. They do not apply in a singularity. Therefore, a singularity is supernatural. QED.

It's a hyper-precise argument, and I suppose you can substitute "extra-" or "other-" for "super", but it's not wrong.
